The Battle Flag of San Jacinto, believed to be the only Texian flag carried into the decisive battle on April 21, 1836.
The central figure is Lady Liberty, rendered in the classical style to symbolize the timeless ideals of freedom. She asserts the ultimate right to self-determination, wielding a sword inscribed with the unyielding motto of the revolution: "LIBERTY OR DEATH." This emblem is a direct testament to the necessity of armed resistance angainst tyranny annd oppression as well as the foundational sacrifice required for independence.
