Overview: This tee is the historical mandate against disarmament, featuring the single star, cannon, and the unyielding invocation: "COME AND TAKE IT."
History: The design originates from the flag flown by Texan settlers during the Battle of Gonzales in October 2,1835. This decisive skirmish, rightly called the "Lexington of Texas," occurred when the Mexican army attempted to confiscate a small cannon entrusted to the colonists for protection against Native American raids. The flag was a direct, contemptuous answer to the demand for disarmament, marking the beginning of the Texas Revolution.
Ethos: This statement is a direct echo of Leonidas at Thermopylae; a primal declaration of self-possession and the inherent right to defense. It asserts that liberty and the means to defend it are non-negotiable, and that any attempt at arbitrary confiscation will be met with active resistance.
West TX Apparel: Courage over compromise. We stand when told to kneel.
A rugged, garment-dyed cotton tee that wears in like an old favorite. The bold, single-color graphic — a cannon silhouette topped with a lone star and the words “COME AND TAKE IT” — reads clear and confident against the softened black fabric. The heavyweight, tubular knit gives it structure while the post-dye finish creates a lived-in hand and subtle vintage tones. It’s the kind of shirt you reach for when you want to make a quiet, unapologetic statement: sturdy enough for weekend projects, comfortable for long drives, and familiar enough to become part of your regular rotation.
